Granular Sulfur Double Refined

Sulfur, represented by the symbol "S" in the periodic table, is one of the elements of the 16-atom group 6A. Sulfur is a flammable and explosive substance that can be used as a powder or liquid. Sulfur is an indispensable product in many sectors from health to industry. However, some plants and animals also contain some sulfur. The formation mechanism of sulfur element both in nature and in industry is based on the precipitation of H2S and SO2 gases by oxidation.

Where is Sulfur Used?

Sulfur is among the essential components of industrial production and especially sulfuric acid. A lot of sulfur is used for the production of sulfuric acid, which is very common in industry. To list some products and sectors that use sulfur, sulfuric acid and its compounds:

- Chemical and agricultural industry,

- Additives used for feeds,

- Synthetically produced resins, -

Fertilizer and fertilizer additives,

- Animal pesticides,

- Detergents,

- Sheet metal, explosives ,

- It is possible to sort like fireworks.

What are the Properties of Sulfur?

The color of sulfur can be canary yellow, honey yellow or greenish yellow. Sulfur, an odorless and tasteless solid, burns with a blue flame that is visible in sunlight, forming a sharp and suffocating sulfur dioxide (SO2) gas.

It has a slightly lighter blue flame and SO2 gas is toxic. H2S gas is also toxic and if any poisoning occurs, you will suddenly faint.

Sulfur Powder

Powdered sulfur  is generally used in the production of paper, explosives, and artificial fertilizers. In terms of health  , it also  contains minerals that the body needs. Sulfur, which provides the body's oxygen balance, also contributes to the formation of healthy hair and nails. Sulfur is effective in maintaining the balance of the body.
